The president and vice president of the Saudi Arabian postal service (Saudi Post) are on an official visit to the country for three days of meetings with the Dominican Postal Institute (Inposdom). An announcement of a major agreement is expected.
Listin Diario reports that Muhammad Benten and Sami Aowedi of Saudi Post arrived from Brazil for meetings. Inposdom is headed by Modesto Guzman. The executives will meet with Minister of Public Works Gonzalo Castillo and sign a letter of intent for reciprocal cooperation. New announcements on electronic commerce will also be made. Modesto Guzman described the visit as “very important” saying that it opens doors for increasing and diversifying business with a nation that has an excellent economic situation and is in the best interest to improve commercial links with the Dominican Republic.
