Santo Domingo judge Rafael Pacheco Paulino has summoned ex-President Leonel Fern?ndez and six others to appear before the 10th Chamber of the Penal Court on 9 May in order to testify in the fraud case against top PLD government officials and business leaders. Temistocles Mont?s, Eduardo Selman and Joaqu?n Villanueva are accused of swindling businessman Esteban Francisco Sanchez out of 1,013 shares in a former Dominican cement factory. Sanchez is demanding compensation of RD$100 million for his losses in the deal, which involved the dissolution of the old cement company and the creation of a new one, Cementos Col?n.
