The program of activities today, Wednesday 24 April kicks off at 10am with the inauguration of Rosa Francia Esquea Street, and a poetry reading by Alexandra Felicidad Morrobel Camilo at the Poetry Pavilion.
At 11am the Cookbook Pavilion is hosting an event titled “Succulent Poems” by Sheila Acevedo. The Youth Space features Iamdra Fermin and the National Library is the setting for a book launch by Manuel Valdez, “De la religion al reino”.
At 2pm the Poetry Pavilion hosts Evelyn Ramos Miranda and Elizabeth Polanco.
At 3pm Mateo Morrison will be at the Cookbook Pavilion. The Museum of Modern Art auditorium hosts a talk by Francisco Herrera Arrauz (Ecuador) on “Journalistic Chronicle as a Contribution to Instant History” and the launch of his book “Si callan a los mios, gritaran hasta las piedras”.
Also at 3pm, there will be a street theater performance of “Juan Bosch 50 years after the coup”.
4pm at the National History Museum auditorium n book launch “Una vida para el exito”, by Nelson Cerda. Museum of Modern Art auditorium: Talk “Photography, a great liar for luck”, by Diego Cifuentes (Ecuador). Poetry Pavilion: Rossio Salvador and Hermes de Paula. “Letras de Mujer” National Theater Bar: discussion on “Aida Cartagena, Hilma Contreras, Juan Bosch al aguafuerte”, by Emelda Ramos. Reading of “La biografia situada”, an essay by Manuel Llibre Otero.
5pm Museum of Modern Art auditorium n a meeting with Maria Fernanda Espinoza, Ecuadorian Minister of Defense.
Dominican Writers’ Pavilion: book launch of “Loma azul” by Ramia Estevez Rodriguez
Poetry Pavilion: Basilio Belliard and Plinio Chahin, with a special guest, Uruguayan poet Alfredo Fresia.

7pm. Museum of Modern Art Auditorium: Lecture by Leonardo Padura “Being a writer in Cuba in the 21st century.” Youth Space: Pinky Pintor speaks about TV. Poetry Pavilion: Mateo Morrison and Ylonka Nacidit Perdomo.
8pm. National Library auditorium: Lecture “National and Universal Themes in the Works of Pedro Mir”, by Diomedes Nunez Polanco. Carlos Piantini Hall, National Theater: Homage to Pedro Mir.
