The best time to go shopping for Dominican cookbooks is during the Santo Domingo International Book Fair in Plaza de la Cultura. A stand at the fair is dedicated to Dominican cookery books. The Book Fair opened on 21 April and continues through 5 May. This year the Dominican cookbook stand is dedicated to baking expert, Miriam de Gautreaux.
