Dominican Olympic silver medalist Luguelin Santos, the heir to Felix Sanchez, continued to shine at the Kingston National Stadium on Saturday, 4 May, gaining first place in the 400 meters at the Jamaica International Invitational, a prestigious IAAF competition.
The Jamaica Gleaner reported that Santos (45.06) produced a late burst to win the race. Altonio McQuay of the United States was second with 45.06, and Jamaica’s Javere Bell was third in a new personal best with 45.57 seconds.
Previously, Santos took first place in the 400 meters at the famous Drake Relays.
