The former District Attorney for the National District and now a judge on the Supreme Court of Justice, Alejandro Moscoso Segarra, is arguing for modifications to the Criminal Process Code that would allow the government and the Justice Department to fight crime and criminals more effectively.
To reduce crime, he also mentioned the need to eliminate social injustice and provide opportunities for the young people.
Moscoso Segarra gave an interview to Listin Diario while taking part in Dominican Week in the United States. He said that the increase in crime could not be attributed to weak judges. He argued for a crime policy that focuses more on prevention and effective resolution of cases.
