Italo Angelini Liranzo has issues pending in courts since 2005, on charges of counterfeiting and other crimes. He apparently is a counterfeiter of some repute, good at cloning credit cards and other documents. However, National District prosecutors have never sent a single case of his to trial. An article in today’s Hoy, Wednesday 22 May, points out that he is related to a high-ranking PRSC party member with the same last name. Ironically, Angelini Liranzo was favored by a court decision last week that awarded him RD$20 million after he was wounded in a fight with Carlos Antonio Reynoso Crascequi in which he was seriously injured and Julio Francisco Rojas Mendez died.
