A recent report by the Safety Volunteers of Santiago (Voses) and released yesterday, Tuesday 11 June shows that almost a third of households, on average, contain at least one member who has been a victim of crime. The entity surveyed 1,540 homes and 30% reported at least one crime against a member of the family between October 2011 and October 2012. On average the families reported 1.68 crimes, which suggests that some of them had been victimized more than once. In some areas the average per household was as high as 2.05 crimes per household.
