Danilo talks tough in San Cristobal

President Danilo Medina told it like it is during his quick visit to Yaguate and other towns in San Cristobal province yesterday, Sunday 16 June. He said: “Who doesn’t like to sleep in on a Sunday?” And then proceeded to tell the people at the San Cristobal Industrial Park about the realities of the situation. “You cannot ask the state to give you a new building, to give you an electric generator, to buy you machinery and to give you working capital, and what about your sacrifice? What is it? You have to make some sort of sacrifice, and then the government will back the sacrifice you make,” he stated. Then he said that a commission would visit them on Thursday 20 June to look at their proposals. He said that: “I cannot help with ideas from each person who wants something. I want concrete proposals.”
