The Board of Directors of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel) appointed Pedro Jose Mercado Gris as the new executive director by Resolution 032-13 signed by president of the board, Gedeon Santos, and members Juan Antonio Delgado, Nelson Guillen Bello and Alejandro Jimenez.
At the time of his appointment Mercado was director of the communications strategy for the Presidency of the Republic. Previously he had been deputy manager for the northern region of the Central Bank and consul in Haiti, as reported in Diario Libre.
