Catholic priest Enmanuel Cruz, 31, died yesterday morning, Wednesday 28 August due to hemorrhagic dengue complicated by salmonella, after four days in the Corominas Clinic in Santiago.
Father Cruz had only been ordained a year ago and belonged to the Redemptoris Master seminary. He was in a coma for three days.
He will be buried in Mao, Valverde where he was born.
Over the last few days several people have died from hemorrhagic dengue in hospitals in Santiago.
