Spotlight back on corruption cases

Attorney General Victor C?spedes Mart?nez announced yesterday that he has a new list of corruption cases against ten former government officials. He would not, however, give any further details about the identities of the suspects. On the subject of the case of PLD government officials Tem?stocles Mont?s, Sim?n Lizardo and Rub?n Pe?a, also accused of alleged acts of corruption, the attorney general did not rule out the possibility of imprisonment. Airing corruption cases against the opposition party is a favorite campaign strategy, traditionally used by the party in power.
