More than 30 companies, including many large manufacturers, will be exhibiting at the Fifth People’s Republic of China Trade Exhibition in Santo Domingo. The event will take place at the Hotel Dominican Fiesta from 26 to 29 September. Six cities or provinces in China will be represented: Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqin, Shandong, Zhejiang, Guangdong. Automobiles, motorcycles, electronics, hardware and light industrial products will be on display. There will be talks and business roundtable discussions. The event is organized by the Center for Export and Investment (CEI-RD with the participation of the Chinese International Trade Promotion Council, and the Dominican ministries of Economy and Foreign Relations.
Minister of Economy, Planning and Development Temistocles Montas said that China is the Dominican Republic’s third largest trading partner after the United States and Haiti.
