Book Fair a success

The VI International Book Fair closed down yesterday evening and was hailed a complete success by Tony Raful, the minister of Culture. At the same time, Puerto Rico was named the guest of honor for the next fair in 2004. According to Raful, 24 countries were represented at the fair, with Cuba in the spotlight, and over 60 publishers exhibited their wares. One of the principal themes of the event was Antillian Unity as expressed in the works of Jos? Mart?, Eugenio Mar?a de Hostos (the 19th century Puerto Rican positivist and educator) and Henr?quez Ure?a.
