Organized by the Dominican Republic Art Galleries Association, every third Thursday of the month from August to December, the country’s leading art galleries are staying open until late with special activities for visitors. This is a wonderful way to become familiar with quality Dominican art. The gallery owners themselves will be available for explanations about the artists.
A minibus is available starting from Arawak Arte Contemporaneo at Calle Rafael Augusto Sanchez No. 53 in Piantini, Santo Domingo departing for the tour at 7pm. The tour dates are this evening, Thursday 17 October, followed by 21 November and 19 December. Call Tel 809 565-3614 for more details.
