Barrick Pueblo Viejo Dominicana Corporation (PDDC) has announced a second payment of US$73.48 million to the Department of Taxes (DGII), bringing payments of the Minimum Annual Tax (IMA) to US$109.9 million since it signed the agreement with the state. The first payment, of US$36.42 million, was made on 15 October, corresponding to the IMA for 2012, as reported in El Dia quoting a Barrick press release. Barrick has exported US$551.9 million, mainly in gold and silver exports.
