A campaign is underway for Dominican radio stations to only play merengue songs on 26 November. The 24-hour all merengue day is promoted by radio broadcaster Mon Lluberes of Estandalo 107.3 who says that he will change the programming of the nine stations he directs on that day, motivated by a campaign to promote merengue music started by El Dia newspaper.
