The Dominican Republic was chosen as a member of the executive board (2013-2017) of UNESCO during a meeting held in Paris as part of the organization’s 37th conference, which took place from 5-20 November. Minister of Culture Jose Antonio Rodriguez, who represented the Dominican Republic at the event, gave a presentation on the Medina administration’s new cultural policies.
