Jude Thaddeus Okolo, who is replacing removed papal nuncio Josef Wesolowski, arrives in the Dominican Republic today, Monday 18 November. Wesolowski was removed on 21 August following media accusations of pedophilia. Thaddeus Okolo was born in Nigeria on 18 December 1956 and has been a priest since 1983. He has worked in Chad, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Australia and Haiti. He speaks English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Czech, as reported in El Caribe.
