Despite his new role as Goodwill ambassador, Olympic hurdler Felix Sanchez says that he will continue to compete and is training for 2014 competitions.
He said that his first competition will take place in Poland in March and he is also planning to compete in 4×400 relays.
However, he said that the Central American and Caribbean games, to be held in November in Veracruz, Mexico were not in his diary.
He said that his appointment as Goodwill Ambassador was in recognition of the good results he has achieved in his career and that he wanted to serve as a good example to other athletes. He added that everyone could succeed with hard work and dedication.
