The president of the Dominican Senate, Reinaldo Pared Perez has described accusations from some quarters in Haiti that Dominican senators were plotting against the Martelly regime as “perverse and wicked.” Pared Perez said that these accusations come from within the Haitian government that wants to divert attention from its problems towards the Dominican Republic. Senator Prim Pujals said that the accusations against senators Sonia Mateo, Amarilis Santana and Eddy Mateo and ministers Temistocles Montas and Jose del Castillo Savinon were “slanderous.”
