The victory took the Leones into first place in the standings with the loss by the Tigres del Licey, by a score of 4-2, as the Estrellas Orientales, behind the hitting of Junior Lake won their first game in the Estadio Quisqueya. In La Romana, the Gigantes del Cibao won their third straight game, 5-3 over the Toros del Este, as Peguero, Casilla and Ozuna hit home runs.
