The Dominican Republic will become the capital of surf in the Americas from 2-9 February 2014 when the country hosts the 11th Pan Am Surfing Games. The event is organized by the Pan-American Surf Association (PASA), with headquarters in La Jolla, California, USA. In the Dominican Republic, the event will be coordinated by Fedosurf, the Dominican Surfing Federation. Surfers will compete in surf, longboard, body boarding and paddleboard during the championship.
