Venezuelans still waiting

The two retired army captains granted political asylum by the Dominican authorities two weeks ago are still waiting for their safe-conduct passes to leave Venezuela. They have been “guests” of the Dominican embassy in Caracas for almost one month now and the two brothers, Alfredo and Ricardo Salazar Boh?rquez, are claiming that they and their families have been threatened by the Ch?vez government, which accuses them of participating in last year’s failed coup.
