Experts from the United Kingdom are working with the National Police to improve criminal investigation skills in areas including forensic science, crime scene, forgery, homicide and theft, the Police reported yesterday, Thursday 20 February. A press release from Police Chief Major General Manuel Castro Castillo says that forensic and crime scene investigators and trainers Paul Dearing, John Bowler and Nick Fowler had evaluated the police officers who would receive international training in the DR and abroad. In the press release, Castro said that police officers had traveled for training in Europe, the US, and Central and South America. The press release was issued after attorney general Francisco Dominguez Brito called for enhance efforts to improve the skills of the police.
