The Dominican Republic is the top producer in Caribbean bookings for Expedia, the online travel company. The company reported that bookings for travel to the Caribbean region grew 20% in the first three quarters of 2013 and that travel bookings to the Dominican Republic increased by 33% in demand last year. The company announced the news during the Caribbean Travel Marketplace conference in Montego Bay last week.
The company said that travel demand for the Caribbean grew the most in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Brazil.
