President Mejia said that he has authorized the construction of a north-south highway that would link the agrarian region of San Jose de Ocoa and the Cibao with the South. The cost of the project is RD$250 million, and reportedly, the contract for the construction of the highway has been entrusted to the Pablo Yarull y Asociados company.
