Hoy newspaper journalist Altagracia Paulino reports on the closing of El Palacio de los Yaniqueques, a Villa Juana, Santo Domingo establishment. She says the owner of the cafeteria had called the ?Con el consumidor? program of CDN TV/Radio, to announce the closure because he could not meet costs. He said that to survive he would have to sell the popular flour-based tortillas for RD$80 to RD$100 ? a price he knows the market would not bear. He explained his costs had increased as follows:
