Vote for Major League All Star Game

Dominicans can now vote for the players of the Major League All Star Game. Baninter, a leading communications and financial organization, launched the program together with Deportes en la Cumbre, a sports-oriented business. The program will enable Dominican baseball fans to vote for the Dominicans listed as possible players in the Major League All Star Game. The voting starts today and continues through 14 June. Twenty-five Dominican players may make it into the All Star Game if chosen by the Office of the Commissioner for Major League Baseball. To vote, visit any of the Baninter branches, Fujifilm and Fotocolor stores. Voting stations are also open at El Siglo, Listin Diario and Ultima Hora newspapers. A person can vote as many times as they want. Participating Dominican ball players are: American League: Carlos Febles, Alfonso Soriano, Jose Offerman (second base); Alex Rodriguez, Deivi Cruz, Miguel Tejada (short stop); Tony Batista (third base); David Ortiz (designated hitter); Juan Encarnacion, Ruben Mateo, Raul Mondesi, Manny Ramirez (outfielders). National League: Luis Castillo, Quilvio Veras, Ronny Belliard (second base); Neifi Perez, Rafael Furcal, Julio Lugo (short field); Adrian Beltre, Aramis Ramirez, Fernando Tatis (third base); Vladimir Guerrero, Moises Alou, Sammy Sosa (outfielders).
