JCE president decision revoked

The full assembly of the Central Electoral Board (JCE), the body in charge of organizing the 2004 presidential election, revoked the suspension of Antonio Lockward Artiles as its secretary of the JCE and prohibited the president of the JCE, Ram?n Morel Cerda, from making these types of decisions. Lockward Artiles had been suspended by Morel Cerda, who said he had acted independently and showed a lack of courtesy to visitors. According to Lockward, he was suspended when refusing to issue a certification requested by Agriculture Minister Eligio J?quez regarding the members of the board of the PRD. According to Lockward, he could not respond favorably to the request by J?quez because there was no documentation at the JCE to substantiate such a board. Lockward said he would return to his work as secretary of the board.
