President Hipolito Mejia travels today to San Juan, Puerto and to Denver, Colorado for business meetings. In San Juan, he will participate in the Puerto Rico Trade Summit where he will promote Dominican farm produce and the incentives his government offers to Puerto Rican businessmen. President Mejia’s trip to Puerto Rico follows up efforts by Agriculture Minister Eligio Jaquez to increase Dominican exports of farm produce to Puerto Rico. Late in the afternoon, President Mejia will continue on to Denver, Colorado to participate in the American Apparel & Footwear Association conference. He will also participate in a breakfast with the Apparel Association of the United States where President Vicente Fox of Mexico will be the keynote speaker. At the same conference, President Mejia is scheduled to speak on apparel production in the DR.
