The newspaper says that the government announced it will soon sign a payment agreement with generators and distributors that will end the conflict which has led generators to shut down plants for lack of funding to pay for fuel. In a press conference at the National Palace, the administrator of the CDE Cesar Sanchez and the Superintendent of Electricity Jose Ovalles said that the government would transfer the new savings in operation costs to consumers. The production of power declined to 1,123 megawatts yesterday, with a peak demand of 1,800 megawatts.
