Leonel Fernandez, Jacinto Peynado and Milagros Ortiz Bosch ranked highest in the rating made by polled Dominicans when asked if the presidential election were held today for whom they would vote. The presidential election is scheduled for 2004. The results come from a Gallup poll that was commissioned by the Senate. The results were published in Diario Libre today. The same poll showed the PRD has the largest following, PLD is second and PRSC is third most popular political party. The politicians ranked by the poll were: Leonel Fernandez (PLD): 324 votes Jacinto Peynado (PRSC): 310 votes Milagros Ortiz Bosch (PRD): 286 votes Jaime David Fernandez (PLD): 77 votes Danilo Medina (PLD): 76 votes Hatuey Decamps (PRD): 66 votes Rafael Subervi Bonilla (PRD): 61 votes Ramon Alburquerque (PRD): 52 votes Cesar Estrella Sadhala: 35 Jose Hazim (PRSC): 22 votes Fernando Alvarez Bogaert (UD): 17 votes Eligio Jaquez (PRD): 16 votes Carlos Morales Troncoso (PRSC): 15 votes Enmanuel Esquea Guerrero (PRD): 15 votes Jose Tomas Perez (PLD): 8 votes Guido Gomez Mazara (PRD): 1 vote
