Yesterday President Hipolito Mejia signed into law the General Electricity Bill at a ceremony at the National Palace. The bill provides a framework for the electricity industry. “I recognize that it is not possible in this case, nor in any other case, to make a shoe that fits all feet,” said the President. “What is important for the investors and for the consumers is that we have a law,” he said.
