President Hipolito Mejia has announced that the PRSC and the PRD will present joint candidates to head the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies, the municipalities and municipal boards in the elections to be held 16 August. The announcement was made after Mejia met with the PRSC party leader, former President Balaguer, yesterday. The president of the PRD, Hatuey de Camps, accompanied Mejia to the 94-year old statesman’s home.
