Accused murderer of lawyer turns himself in

Elvin Jose Guillen Jorge, accused of killing lawyer and business consultant Rafael Batista Fernandez, turned himself in to police yesterday. Police spokesman Nelson Rosario said that Guillen confessed he stabbed the lawyer in the chest while accomplice Joan Santos hit him on the head with a sharp object. Batista Fernandez was kidnapped 25 July and police found his body buried near his abandoned vehicle. News reports indicate that Guillen Jorge has a police record for fraud, abuse of confidence, association with criminals, falsification of public documents and organization of illegal trips. Reportedly, Batista had accused him in court of fraud.
