Listin Diario reports on the collapse of the second floor of the Hollywood Café Discotheque in La Romana on Saturday. Forty people were injured and taken to the local public hospital and the Dario Contreras trauma center in Santo Domingo. The tragedy occurred on the floor above the Hollywood Cinemas, the main movie house in La Romana. At around 11 pm Saturday, the structure trembled and collapsed. The newspaper speculates that the failure could be due to faulty construction.
