President urges Central Bank governor to brag more

President Hipolito Mejia, as reported in El Siglo, feels his government officers should speak up more about the achievements of their first year in government. He said the only failure of his government is its lack of propaganda. Speaking during an event held at the Ministry of Agriculture, he commented that one of the theorists had told him that there has been a decline in consumption. He denied this, saying there is RD$17 billion more in circulation this year than last. He urged the governor of the Central Bank, Frank Guerrero, who he said is “half mute” to speak up about the increase in the money in circulation. The President also said the increase in production was 25-30% in his first year in government.
