The United States Embassy has announced that the US Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail is now available to all Dominicans. The service will be provided through Securicor Segura outlets nationwide. US Embassy Charge d’Affairs, Janice Jacobs, says this alliance “is an example of how globalization will have repercussions more and more in the everyday lives of citizens around the world.” The USPS´s Priority Mail Service offers door to door delivery to any city in the United States, with a delivery time of 3 to 5 days, of documents and packages up to 70 pounds. The service has a phone/Internet package tracking system, and a lower price than private competitors’.
