President Hipolito Mejia travelled to the East over the weekend to cut the ribbon inaugurating the improvements to the Sabana de la Mar dock and the Elupina Uno ferry. The ferry will cross from Sabana de la Mar to Samana. This is good news for tourists in the Punta Cana-Bavaro area who would like to visit the caves and impressive mangroves of Los Haitises Park or participate in whale watching or eco- tourism activities in the lush province of Samana.
