Three judges from the National District are being investigated by the Supreme Court for corruption. El Siglo reports that the President of the Supreme Court, Dr. Jorge Subero Isa, says the three unidentified judges have been accused of taking bribes from certain groups, possibly drug traffickers, in exchange for favorable sentences. Subero Isa encouraged citizens to be vigilant in watching judges conduct not only as they discharge their court duties but in their private and public conduct as well. He said judges cannot have private lives and all their actions reflect on their lives in general. He said the full weight of the law will fall on those judges found guilty of corruption.
