The Organizing Committee of the 14th Pan American Sports Games announced a contest to choose the logo and mascot for the Santo Domingo 2003 games. The deadline to enter the contest is 15 March at 5 pm. Registration is free. The winner of the logo contest will receive RD$100,000. There is a RD$50,000 award for the mascot.
