According to the article, victims have complained that the park almost totally lacks illumination, and that young hoodlums conceal themselves behind bushes near the entrances on Maximo Gomez and Ortega y Gasset Avenues, in order to steal handbags, chains, and sports equipment. A number of incidents of sexual assault have also been reported. Parents are compelling children to quit teams, and stay away from events in the Olympic Park, especially at night.
