The government received one of two cargo airplanes purchased from Spain as part of a transport package totaling RD$1,800 million, negotiated with the Spanish government, as reported by El Caribe newspaper. The government has purchased 490 taxis, 65 fire engine cars and two military Caza 212-400 planes with the deal.
