Wanda Rijo is Athlete of the Year

Weightlifter Wanda Rijo is the 1999 Athlete of the Year. She received the award during the Olympic Dinner held last night at the Hotel Jaragua. This is the second consecutive year in which she receives the award that comes with a RD$50,000 check. The event is sponsored by the Presidente beer brewery.
