Power supply starts improving

Marcos Cochón, superintendent of electricity, said that the government expects power supply to improve considerably within the next 60 days. Relief from long blackouts is already being felt. President Fernández brought the private generators, the distributors and government energy department heads together on Tuesday, and Cochón summarized the conclusions of the meeting. Within the next 60 days, the minimum power availability in the system will be 1,504 megawatts and the maximum 1,711 megawatts. Demand is estimated at 1,400 megawatts. Yesterday, supply was at 1,259 megawatts. The rains are also good news, as hydroelectric plants will produce more.
