President Leonel Fernández bid banker Alejandro Grullón off at the Las Americas International Airport. Grullón was taken to New York City for medical follow up after being interned for heart condition on Monday and Tuesday at the Abel González Clinic in Santo Domingo, as reported by his physicians Anis Vidal and Oscar Reyes. President Fernández was in the area after having received his father who arrived from Panama. The influential president of the Grupo Financiero Popular flew to New York on a private plane.
