The general manager of the Dominican Electricity Corporation, Radhamés Segura accused the private companies in charge of Itabo and Haina power plants of overvaluing indexations applied to billings for fuel adjustment. He said that the unfair indexing has represented additional profits of US$12 million for these companies. He urged the new authorities to immediately start revision of the contracts signed with the electricity distributors and the generators, as well.
