Former Vice President Jacinto Peynado urged the new government officers to leave prosecution of former government officers to second rate employees of the state. He urged them to concentrate on the jobs for which they were appointed. "If the government is going to spend all its time making accusations, pointing out wrongs in the past government, and neglects state affairs, it is possible we will be before a circus in bad taste which will not be doing any good for the country," he said. He said that mechanisms should be found for the continuous supervision of government works and initiatives so that the spectacle of accusations does not occur when there is a change of government.
