President Hipólito Mejía leaves today for Guatemala to participate with Central American nations, including Belize for a first round of free trade and cooperation talks with Prime Minister Jean Chretien of Canada. He will be in Guatemala meeting with statesmen Alfonso Portillo Cabrera, Guatemala; Miguel Angel Rodríguez, Costa Rica; Francisco Flores, El Salvador; Carlos Roberto Flores, Honduras; Arnoldo Alemán, Nicaragua; Mireya Moscoso, Panama and Prime Minister Said Musa, Belize and Prime Minister Chretien. On Thursday, President Mejia will travel to Montego Bay, Jamaica for the talks now with Caribbean Community (Caricom) heads of state and government and the Canadian Prime Minister.
